Who is the client?
BARR is a K-12 partner with a quarter-century track record of raising student math and reading scores, increasing teacher satisfaction and retention, and decreasing student disciplines and suspensions. The BARR model has worked for hundreds of schools in all types of geographies and systems, alongside any number of existing curricular partnerships. The model ignites new relationships between teachers, launches conversations about data, and gets teachers talking about every single student.
What did they need help with?
Since BARR was transitioning away from research, establishing brand identity and clear messaging was very important. While a logo was in place, there were no clear guidelines on logo usage and its many variations. The content on their social channels was limited and lacking cohesion, something which we knew we wanted to address.
Some of the initial brand goals for P4P were to:
- Develop consistent brand messaging across channels
- Strengthen recognition as a brand, rather than a research institution
- Establish brand guidelines
What was my role?
- Organized stakeholder interviews during discovery phase, extracting valuable insights that shaped the project direction
- Established a consistent cadence of weekly client syncs to ensure clear expectations and timely decision-making
- Served as liaison during feedback/delivery rounds between creatives and clients
- Collaborated with stakeholders to define a clear scope of work, leading to successful project completion that exceeded expectations
How did it turn out?
We partnered with BARR to elevate their brand identity and messaging. They now have clear, consistent logo guidelines for all platforms. We worked closely with the BARR team to define their brand voice and positioning, something which the founder was incredibly enthusiastic about. Furthermore, we created branded Canva templates to streamline their social media presence. Our successful collaboration led to a follow-up project where we assisted them with design for their national conference!
